The temple was built in 1186 for dedicating to his mother. Angelina Jolie, Hollywood Movie Star, was filmed there for the movie “Tomb Raider”.

Itinerary Day 2
You will be picked up from your hotel in Siem Reap at approximately 08:00 for the drive to the temple of Preah Khan, built outside of the former city of Angkor Thom. Built on the site of Jayavarman VII’s victory over the invading Chams in 1191, the temple remains largely unrestored and has been left to the mercy of the jungle’s ancient trees, creating a quintessential Angkor experience.
Continue to the island temple of Neak Pean (The Entwined Serpents) to see the snake sculptures around its base, and learn about its role as one of Angkor’s hosiptals. Visit the small temple of Ta Som, and admire the eastern outer gopura (entrance), covered by a sacred fig tree.
Your next stop is the guardian elephant sculpture of the 10th-century East Mebon, built on an artificial island at the center of the now dry East Baray reservoir. End the morning at the temple mountain of Pre Rup, believed to have been used for funerals.
Itinerary Day 3
Then you will visit Beng Mealea Temple, which was built at the end of 11th century as a model of Angkor Wat. The temple, Sprawling jungle temple covering over one square kilometer. The temple is largely overrun by vegetation and very lightly tourist, giving it an adventurous, ‘lost temple’ feel. Photographers: trees growing from the broken towers and galleries offer some of the best ‘tree in temple’ shots aside from Ta Prohm.
Constructed in a distinctly Angkor Wat style under the same king that built Angkor Wat, Beng Melea preceded and may have served as a prototype of sorts for Angkor Wat.
The trip will continue to visit the Rolous Group Temples: Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. The temples are built from the early of Angkor Period (802-1431). Preah Ko temple was built by king Indravarman I in 879. Bakong was built in 881. And Lolei was built by king Yasovarman I in 893. You will have a buffet dinner with Apsara Dancing Show at the city restaurant. Back to hotel finish tour.
